So, it's about time I posted an update. I've really been meaning to, but I always forget. Anyway, please give a warm welcome to our newest staff member, Alyssa! She'll be our first real Global Moderator, and her duties will be to help moderate the threads you all, the members, make. Got it?

So I'm sure all of you have seen the Ralts popping up everywhere on the site. That would be Eirian, our site mascot. She turns green when she's happy, and red when she's not. She's also the one that marks your application as "accepted" or "rejected". And turns blue, orange, and light red when there's a new post in a thread.

Just dropping a reminder, Pokemon Sprites 1-275 (Bulbasaur - Shiftry) are fully in effect. I'm trying my hardest to do my schoolwork and finish up the 493 sprites.

Heh, okay, so I'm pretty much the only one that ever uses this thing. Anyway, Sarah has been demoted from Head Admin due to her constant inactivity, and our former Global Moderator, Melon, will take her place as the third Head Admin.

Please welcome our newest staff member, Meiko! She will become our third and final Head Admin, and she will observe members for the purpose of looking for future Global Moderators and Moderators. She will also play one of the Assistants at Sellik Laboratories.

k.UPDATE: Please read this announcement! k.REGULAR: If you haven't already noticed, Sellik has gotten new rank buttons! They are no longer the default Proboards stars, but have been changed to a spiffy rectangular button. I'll be using my account as a test for a while to make sure all of the ranks have been updated correctly and make sure the buttons are functional. Previews of each button are below.

Okay, time for a new update! First of all, censors 001 through 250 are now operational, so you may use any censor from Bulbasaur to Ho-oh and it'll work. The Wild Pokemon Indexes are currently being worked on, and lab posts are being requested. (Please? ^-^) The Fall Promo is still running, and Kendall and I are coming up with new ways to occupy you all. (Translation: We want to kill your muse and fry your brains, because we're just that evil.)

So, now we have a spiffy new updates section! The staff will add periodic updates here, so check every so often to see what the latest news is. At the moment, sprites from number 001 to number 115 work on the censors, but more will be done soon. Kamaresu Isle's locations have been fully finished, and Iasula's are currently being worked on. Members, feel free to begin posting at the lab; Sarah will take care of your replies as are needed.
all the chatter Kick back and chat with other forum members here. Play online games, host your own little non-official contests, whatever you can think of except roleplaying; this is done elsewhere.
activity checks Sellik's monthly activity checks will be held here. Failure to post will result in account deletion unless you are absent at the time of the activity check.
other roleplays Feel free to conduct roleplays other than Pokemon or Mystery Dungeon-esque Pokemon roleplays here. Just be sure to include a rating in the title.
affiliate If you'd like to affiliate with Sellik, please post here, but only if you want to affiliate. All advertisements will be immediately deleted by a staff member. Guest friendly!
the rules Ah yes, the rules again. I know everyone finds these extremely boring to read, but please do so. They contain important information about the site, and regulations that can keep you from getting suspended or even banned later.
custom templates Looking for a special template for your character, rather than just the plain ol' default template? User-submitted templates can be found here, though the regular template is located here, as well. Please remember not to remove credits to the maker from the template you use unless you are using the default template.
character applications All character applications must be posted here using the provided profile to be looked over by one of the staff members. Admins, youm ust have your characters accepted just the same as everyone else. Once your character has been accepted, they will be moved and you can begin roleplaying.
accepted characters (10 sub-boards) All accepted characters will be moved here. There are sub-boards for the different character classes so that everything is more easily found. Remember, you MUST keep your profiles updated with Pokemon and items the character has, and people the character meets.
character notebooks Just to have a bit of amusement here, you can creat in-depth profiles for your character, have them keep a journal, write a shopping list, whatever! Just toy with your ideas and see what you come up with. This is optional. If you'd like a sub-board for a character's notebooks, please message one of the Head Admins or Global Moderators.
Hakell (3 sub-boards) For all those visiting the Sellik Region, Hakell is the first stop. This quaint little town has only the necessary Pokemon Center and Mart, and is also home to Sellik Laboratories, run by the esteemed Professor Delaynie. Despite its small size, Hakell is constantly full of streaming traffic, being the coastal city it is, from those both coming and going from Sellik. Flowers and vibrant foliage decorate the buildings of the town, and some even support roof gardens.
Route 1 The official first route of Sellik. This route is a sweeping plains region with only a lightly trodden path to lead the way to Ciarse. Not many people travel this way, as is proven by the barely visible path, and as a result, many and Pokemon thrive here, as well as a few elusive types.
Ciarse (1 sub-board) A small town by all means, Ciarse isn't even an official place in Sellik. Merely, they are a self-proclaimed town in the middle of the sparse trees before Route 2. A Pokemon Center is absent here, though there is a middle-aged widow whose Meganium will heal your Pokemon if you present her with the small sum of 50 coins.

Route 2 After passing through Ciarse, one is presented with a new challenge: A large expanse of forest with no path what-so-ever. This is in fact Route 2, an official route in Sellik. Even if one were to get lost in Route 2, some tell rumors of a mysterious Pokemon that will call out to you and point you in the right direction. As to whether this is true... Well, you can just find that out for yourself. There are many and types here, in addition to several Pokemon.

Teklis (4 sub-boards) Teklis is known as the largest town on Kamaresu, though it holds no gym. However, coordinators may find it of interest, as there is a contest hall near the city's borders that holds contests every fortnight. As of now, the next contest is scheduled for September 10. Other features of the town include a dual Pokemon Center that includes a Mart inside, the Police Station, where Officer Jenny can be found, and the town square. In this square are several vendor shops advertising all kinds of wares from carisaks to TMs, from clothing to travel guides.

Route 3 Undoubtedly, Route 3 is the most established route in Sellik. The worn dirt path is bordered on either side with a short picket fence that is tall enough to be easily seen, yet not so tall that it prohibits anyone from leaving the path for reasons such as to catch Pokemon. types are more common here, as it is near Lake Ziadele, and this path is often bustling with tourists who have come to see the lake in all its splendor.

Lake Ziadele (1 sub-board) A popular tourist region on Kamaresu, many trainers frequent here for all the Pokemon that can be found in the lake's waters. Fishing poles of varying qualities can be bought here from 200 to 400 coins, and boats can be rented from 450 by supplying your own pole, and 600 if the fishing shack must supply you with a pole. Remember, if you rent a boat, you must pay a 50 coin deposit both the boat and pole. Or, if you prefer and have the means, you may Surf on a Pokemon.

Route 4 (1 sub-board) This route is almost always deserted, except for those that come to train. A dark sense of foreboding seems to always be hanging over you while on this route, and most try to escape as quickly as possible. In this place, of all places, is where the Training Dojo is located. If you want to train your Pokemon with the Dojo's types, do enter. But, please... Be careful. You never know what may be lurking in the shadows.

Meikar (6 sub-boards) At last, the first gym city! Those taking the gym challenge will find either glory or defeat at this new obstacle in their journey. This city is the second largest on Kamaresu, and its features number many. Among these are a Pokemon Center, Mart, Police Station, and a square similar to the one in Teklis. There is also a practice hall in which coordinators may practice for their contest performances.

Route 5 Route 5 begins the arid region of Kamaresu. Daytime temperatures peak at an average of about 150 degrees Fahrenheit, making it a haven for and Pokemon. If you whish to cross the hot sands to the port city of Dytesh, come prepared for a long and ardous journey. Bring plenty of water (heck, bring your Pokemon) and get ready to brave the hot temperatures, for this is the hardest trek yet.

Dytesh (5 sub-boards) Only just large enough to be called a city, Dytesh is home to both the second gym and contest hall. Contests here are held irregularly, but are widely advertised across the region. The next contest is set for September 15. Dytesh also offers daily ferries from Kamaresu to Iasula, and features a Pokemon Center and Police Station.
The Unnamed Island Passing by on the ferry, one might chance to spot the small island housing a single building. It looks as if someone lives there, but who would be crazy enough to live on an island in the middle of nowhere? Maybe you should find out more and come back when you are strong enough and have a Pokemon that can carry you the long distance from either shore.

island of iasula
Takichi (7 sub-boards) A large, sea-faring town, Takichi is only a preview of the magnificent cities and extravagant structures of the island of Iasula. Takichi houses a practice hall for coordinators, and a Safari Zone for those who are interested in catching exotic Pokemon. This port city also supports the typical Pokemon Center, Mart, and Police Station, in addition to a soft-sandy beach that affords a great view of the ocean. Sometimes, on a calm day and the water is still, one can even see Kamaresu far in the distance

Swampland Though the real name of this area is Route 6, it is more commonly known to the people of Sellik as the Swampland. and Pokemon thrive here, and trainers are plentiful. All in all, the Swampland is a great place to train for the upcoming gym battle in Yentil. Rumors also say that to those it deems worthy, a certain rare Pokemon may appear to experienced trainers here. Though, as to whether these rumors may be true or false is anyone's guess. No one really knows whether this rumor has actually been proven true, or if it may just be the musings of an insane someone.
